LCAP/LCFF

The Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) provides an opportunity for staff, student, and parent involvement in the development of annual goals, strategic actions which are then used to measure academic achievement, school climate, and parent engagement.  The LCAP is adopted in June of each year in conjunction with the annual budget adoption.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic,  the adoption of the LCAP for the 2020/21 school year was put on hold.  In its place, a Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan was implemented to balance the needs of all stakeholders, including educators, parents, students, and community members, while both streamlining engagement and condensing several pre-existing plans.

mISSION AND VISION

Our Vision

TUSD is an educational system where stakeholders are empowered, respected and adequately resourced to deliver broad-based and effective pathways from which student and employee outcomes are self-determined as a result of individual talents, interests and choices.  The fundamental values of integrity, perseverance, excellence and local control are apparent in all interactions between all stakeholders, which includes students, parents/guardians, all members of the community, employees and the state of California.

Our Mission

TUSD exists to engage and work collaboratively with students, families and the community to create systems which develop character, academics, global awareness as well as economic, artistic, civic, digital and health literacy allowing our youth numerous options in the pursuit of an ethical and successful life in the 21st Century.  With relationships as our foundation, we provide timely and caring feedback which guides progress and ensures success.

As part of the conversation around unity of purpose, the Board engaged in a lengthy discussion about what they hoped to achieve, and made a commitment to develop linkage from these items to current goals.  In addition, the Governance Team committed to establishing goal priorities and goal measurement metrics to facilitate determination of progress toward goals and the superintendent’s evaluations.
